It took me about a month to complete this duo. I love incorporating ingredients from the kitchen into my paintings.

I found inspiration for this duo in my notes app on my phone, dated July 10, 2022, at 12:17 PM. I believe I was listening to a sermon online that day. The main ingredients (or points from the lesson) from that day are as follows:

  • God believing prayer

  • God-blazoned precision (reveal, quality)

  • God backs-plan

Fast forward two years, and here's what I'm adding to the recipe:

  • 1 cup of Patience

  • 3 tbsp of Adaptability

  • Sprinkle of Celebrating small wins

What is your recipe for rebuilding?

How I Selected These Art Supplies:

The polyethylene board is leftover from a small DIY table I made, and the fabric was collected from The Board Room in Sacramento, CA. I decided to use chia seeds from my kitchen to test a new texture combination.

Current Placement:

Ever After Wine

  • 14 x 48 inches and 14 x 24 inches

  • Mediums: mixed media on fabric & polyethylene board (acrylic paint, chia seeds, water, and glue)
